Frequently Asked Questions

There’s absolutely no catch to the scheme, so that’s your first question answered. Here’s a few more…

Do I need LEA approval - for the scheme?

No. There’s no need for LEA approval as it’s NOT a finance agreement.

Is there a minimum amount of consumable I must buy every year?

We just ask you to pay for the first set of toners at the beginning of the scheme and then  for 1 more set over the 3 years of the agreement.

Do I have to pay any quarterly charges or ‘click’ charges.

No. You just pay for your consumables.

Can I buy my own toners if I can find them cheaper?

There’s no need. If you can find cheaper genuine Lexmark consumables in stock elsewhere our price match guarantee will ensure you pay the cheapest price.

Can I use compatible consumers in the printer?

No. You must only put genuine Lexmark consumables in the printers. Their quality ensures trouble free use. Using compatible consumables would void the guarantee and you could face repair bills.

Will the printer cope with the printing demands of a busy school environment?

Lexmark printers are very well engineered. We selected them for this scheme because of their reliability and ease of use.

What happens if there is a problem or the printer breaks down?

The printer is covered by the manufacturers warranty for 36 months (3 years).  If it cannot be repaired we will replace it with a new or professionally refurbished unit. Thoughout the 3 year period we will provide free telephone support to help you with any issues you may have.

What happens at the end of the agreement?

You can take out a new agreement or simply send the printer back to us. If you take out a new agreement, we will send you a brand new machine and collect the old printer (no collection charge). If you choose to not take out a new agreement all we ask is that you pay for the return of the printer to us.

Are empty consumables recycled in keeping with green policies?

Yes. Lexmark operate their own scheme which enable you to return any end of life consumables for recycling free of charge. Click here to find out more.

Print Green. Recycle your consumables.

One of the most important aspects of the Printers for Schools scheme is that every end of life consumable can be recycled using the Lexmark Cartridge Collection Programme (LCCP). Simply return any empty units FREE of charge to Lexmark.
