A new Xerox printer has been added to the range provided by the LNL Printers for Schools
Scheme - the Xerox Phaser 6500, an ideal alternative to expensive to run inkjets or old laser printers.
Do we need to buy all the consumables used in the printers we have on the
'LNL Printers for Schools' scheme from yourselves?
Yes, you agree to buy all the consumables used in the printers supplied from us including those above
the minimum commitment. However, there is a specific provision in the agreement that guarantees you can always obtain the
best pricing available.
Are the 'LNL Printers for Schools' scheme printers expensive to run?
No! Because we use latest technology and high specification models on the scheme, you have the benefit
of some of the most economical printers available. On current models we have even been able to provide concessionary pricing
for use in 'LNL Printer for Schools' scheme printers.
We have been offered a cost per copy option from our copier supplier.
Can you offer cost per copy on the scheme printers?
Yes, we can supply some printers on cost per copy agreement and can even supply copiers and multi function
devices; however, cost per copy options may not actually help in controlling print costs. If for example the number of copies
cannot be effectively controlled or if you have the levels of coverage typical of many of our schools users, a cost per copy
agreement has the potential to commit you to higher cost per copy for several years. We are always pleased to provide an
analysis of your current use to assist in your decision. Because we supply equipment from more than one manufacturer and can
provide it either on or off cost per copy, we have no particular bias other than our customers' best interests.
Do we need permission from our LEA to enter on to the LNL Printers for Schools scheme?
No. We always welcome scrutiny of our scheme and the opportunity to show how it really does offer
unparalleled value. The agreement is however an operating agreement, not a finance agreement, therefore LEA permission is not
required.
The scheme seems too good to be true. Is there a catch?
No catch! The 'LNL Printers for Schools' scheme has been in operation for over four years and is now
used by hundreds of schools throughout the UK. Many have the scheme recommended by schools and colleagues who already know
the scheme and the benefits it provides; there is probably a school near to you that is already using the scheme. The success
of the scheme and the close relationship we have with the supporting manufacturers enable the 'LNL Printers for Schools' scheme
to offer savings to schools that individual schools or LEAs are unable to achieve individually.
